0010: Wings Embroidery Software Installation Procedures

New Install (Autoplay)
  1. Insert Wings CD into CD-ROM drive.

  2. Wait for Autoplay to begin.

  3. Wings setup screen will appear.

  4. Click Next and type in your name/company and serial number which is one on your security key. 

  5. Click Next to follow through the setup process.

New Install (without Autoplay)

  1. Insert Wings CD into CD-ROM drive.

  2. Click Start

  3. Click Run

  4. Type drive letter, colon, backslash and the word Setup in the command line. Ex. d:\setup

  5. Wings setup screen will appear.

  6. Click Next and type in your name/company and serial number which is one on your security key.

  7. Click Next to follow through the setup process.

Important Notice - Pre-installation Preparation

 

Please review the installation document that is included in the software package and become familiar with the contents of the Wings installation CD before attempting to install the program.

  1. Check your Windows Operating System

  2. Wings' XP or Modular software require 128-bit Cipher Strength to ensure it's security key working properly. To check out in your system, please open Internet Explore Browser, go to Help/About Internet Explore.  If your browser's version is lower than 5.0, you may not meet this requirement. If this computer is connected to internet, you can click Update Information to upgrade your Cipher Strength.

  3. The Wings Software CD includes the main Wings Program ,   a User Reference Manual in Word or PDF formats.

  4. SECURITY KEY. The Wings program will not launch unless this device is attached to a USB Port of your PC. The Security key should only be attached attached after finishing software installation. As soon as you plug in the key, your PC should find the device and install a proper Driver automatically. The red right on the key should be on while it is functioning.
